Love is in the details ....

It's been a little quiet around here ...

I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day - we acknowledge the day with the planting of a new rose so there are abundant flowers for special occasions in the future ... an investment in the garden nurseries rather than paying a fortune at the florist!  I love it when I get a freshly picked bunch from our own supply - so thoughtful and rewarding to see the results of years of work in the garden.

Last year during a visit to Provence we toured the Camargue region and spent some time at the bird sanctuary - it's an amazing place teeming with flamingoes!  I love them - they are so exotic and interesting and I took way too many photos in the hope of getting them to form a heart shape :)  This will have to do ....

 Another special date on the calendar ...

The day after Valentine's is my birthday - not hard to forget :)

I actually left the house after being somewhat of a hermit with work and art and had lunch with my husband and my beautiful Mum.

It was nice to get out and sit in the air condiitoning, let someone else cook and watch the world go by.  It was so quiet in the restaurant after the crowds of the day before - very relaxing.

Now it's back to work - I only have just over a week before I have to complete the final artworks.  I have spent many, many hours on them and it will be quite a moment to pack up the final parcel for London.
